This Homepage is designed both for health professionals, patients and other persons who are interested in the topic of "Hypertension in Pregnancy" and "Preeclampsia". The Swiss Branch of the ISSHP was founded in 2006 in Zurich and is part of "The international Society for the Study of Hypertension in Pregnancy (ISSHP)", founded in 1976 (www.isshp.com)
The Swiss Branch of the ISSHP is an interdisciplinary working group which shall promote the advancement of knowledge and dissemination of information concerning pathophysiology, epidemiology, detection, investigation and treatment of hypertension in pregnancy and related diseases. In particular the aims are:
- 1. to promote research and especially interdisciplinary and multicenter research in Switzerland in the field of hypertension in pregnancy including collection of epidemiological data.
- 2. to disseminate useful results of research and to advance education in the field of hypertension in pregnancy during local and Swiss-wide scientific and clinical meetings.
- 3. to establish Swiss guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension in pregnancy and related diseases in pregnancy.
- 4. to formulate health policy recommendations in the field of hypertension in pregnancy and to advise health policy institutions in Switzerland on demand. To promote information for the public.
- 5. to promote fund raising for scientific work in preeclampsia
